This is a "Demonstration" battle that takes place over two days. Although Fort William was never actually attacked during the War of 1812, we have decided to "Stage" a mock invasion of the fort.

The event will include capture of the farm, tavern and other outbuildings by American and French Imperial forces. There will be skirmishes, theatrics and a grand battle on both Saturday and Sunday. The event will conclude on Sunday afternoon, at the withdrawal of the invasion force.

The Fort will be open to the public from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on both days. There will be a social after closing hours, in the Great Hall, for all participants. As well, there will be a special guided tour for re-enactors, after supper on Saturday.

This will be a "First Person" event, and you will be expected to be "In Character" at all times. If you are coming as a common Private soldier, then you will be expected to live and act as a Private while in the public eye. Historical clothing is expected to be worn by participants at all times. (Don't worry! We will provide you with a place to change!)
