For the purposes of Re-Enactment, while engaged in an opposing line, the following should be strictly adhered to.

Blank Cartridge Powder Guidelines
In addition to standard blue paper to indicate blank cartridges, smaller bore weapons should also indicate the amount of charge being used.  This will be accomplished by use of a marking on the paper of the cartridge to indicate it's purpose or amount of charge.

Brown Bess or Springfield not to exceed 100 grains FF Blue Paper, marked "100gr FF"
Rifle or Trade Musket  not to exceed 60 grains FFF Blue Paper, marked "60gr FFF"
